Auctioning unclaimed vehicles is a pretty normal function of these type of companies. I'm not sure it is legal to offer them for sale without documentation though. First time I've seen one on Ebay.

What's a bit odd is that in one of the first paragraphs it says "have a key - drives lovely" and then later on says "has not been driven by us".

How on earth do they have the key, if its been "parked illegally" - don't they just lift and shift?

Would you buy without documentation?

If its an unclaimed car, where & how did they get the key?

As a legal property of an owner it would take a court action to transfer the ownership to another. Therefore documentation would be available. STAY CLEAR. I would not touch it with a "proverbial" barge pole.

The description sounds a bit "iffy" in itself

This particular company sells lots

Most are unclaimed by the owners as the cars are not worth the fine for some the owner hand over the keys and walk away.

This is probably one of the Latter

I used to sell abandoned Rover 800's years ago!!
Anyone can apply for a Reg doc V5 for such vehicles. (takes DVLA about 6 weeks to complete process writing to previous owner etc)

All perfectly legal & above board.
