MG190 horseshoe adaptors for timing tools

Does anyone have a pair of these for sale or hire please?

We have everything else but cannot "reverse" the Rover 2.0 horseshoes as the pins are welded.

Thanks for this but I have to apologise for forgetting to say that AST were our first port of call but they have no stock.

I have also asked my local ex-MGR dealership who said that they had the tool but flatly refused to lend it to me. I can't altogether blame the current staff as all my contacts (who knew I could be trusted to take care of things and return them on time) left years ago.

Thanks for your response. The car's owner has talked to DMGRS who say they are having difficulty with supply.

Bother. I knew I should have brought them when I saw them....

I have the rest of the kit, but alas, my 2.0 tools are also not swapable....

I am pleased to say that I have now received a PM from another club member who has offered us his 190 horseshoes on a loan basis.

Thank you to everyone who replied to, or just read, my appeal for help.

if not too late simon , whilst in there , can you let us know if the rear notches for the timing on the rear pulleys line up. with the 190 horseshoes fitted i wondered if the mismatch was only on the 177 models as the camshaft positions are now altered with the front tools fitted. ... just a thought. ..

These were collected by Hermes from the drop-off location over a week ago and that's where the tracking stopped. The parcel was never scanned at the collecting depot and now Hermes has told the sender that they're lost.

So I have to renew my appeal for help. If there is anyone in reasonable distance of the London area who has the 190 horseshoes, I will collect and return them in person!
