I’m not sure what my grease is tbh, but it does a good job of lubricating the toggles on injection moulding machines! I reckon strut bearings on the 75s will be ok with it 🤣

I've just taken a new bearing apart and it had this amount of grease inside. It's got a lot more in it now - I've packed it with Castrol Spheerol EP 1 'Extreme Pressure Bearing Grease'. Messy job! I'd have taken an 'after' pic but grease and cameras don't go together. Grease and carpets don't either - as I've just discovered. |

Finally got round to sorting the wheels. Took 4 Fork alloys and part worns, 4 Dezent alloys and 205/60 Continental winter tyres to Oxford Performance Autos, got them all swapped over and fitted to the car, left my 11-spokes there for refurbishment and powder coating in BMW Anthracite, look forward to getting them back next week...

Grrrrr.......
Today I managed to damage both n/s wheels and tyres on the way to work,
travelling on a country lane I drive every day I hit a pothole that wasn't there yesterday and bent both n/s rims badly, tyres although still inflated need replacement ( although rear went flat as I unlocked the gates at work) I have arranged a local company who specialises in straightening and repairing aluminium wheels to repair them (one day turnaround) and will get new tyres on Saturday when I am off work. I have taken pictures of the wheels and stopped on the way home to take a picture of the pothole that caused the damage - it wasn’t a pothole it was a dislodged drain cover (lane is used by trucks as a rat-run). 'Quite' annoyed and now I have to use the ZT-T for work and I have just cleaned and detailed it (the lanes round here are filthy this time of year), still it could have been worse. |

Not much consolation but those rims will straighten ok, I have repaired worse.. It takes a lot of hammering with a large rubber mallet, but very doable.

I ask as one of my wheels has a similar distortion although not quite as severe, which I've (unsuccessfully) tried to reshape, using carefully applied heat and a rawhide mallet. Currently on the rear of the car, but in any event I would replace the two tyres as well, because an impact of that severity will have certainly damaged them too |

I could at anytime have a phone call from Germany, hope I never do, to go to my sons house. 1,000 miles there and back. My car has to be ready at anytime for that journey. I could not drive a car that I don’t trust. My 200sd diesel took three of us all the way down through France to Italy , and back in 2006. Never missed a beat. Over 3,000 miles in three weeks. Saw a few cars broken down on the side of the road in France and Italy .
