Nothing beats Waze. Just plan your trip at home, when 3G is available, map are then cached, just like with google nav.

Has anyone got the D99?

Just wondering how many USB there are on the back?

Is it 2 (one each side) like the earlier models?
Hi Graham, this is the back end of a D99 that I have on my bench at the moment.

Tom Tom is now available on android, I tried a "free" version and it downloaded 4 gb of maps when it installed.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't need to download maps as you go.

Just looking at Sygic, apparently its quite easy to manipulate it after its trial, and that works offline too.

I have a 32Gb card on my D99, which is plenty big enough, I have about 20Gb of Music and Video and I still have 5Gb spare to play with.
