Default Port and Baud settings

Hi
Anybody else played around with the port and baud settings on chinese dd.
Mine was set at port 2 and baud 9600,but just recently it has been dropping the gps signal,so changed the settings to port 1 and baud to 4800 and now seems to be better.
Got the info off another site that said the lower the baud rate is better, seems to be better for mine.
Would welcome others comments on this.

Port 2 baud 9600 is the standard setting which works for everyone else. So long as the baud setting is fast enough for the NMEA sentence to be passed once per second, it should be enough. It should only work with the correct port number, which is rather odd. The recent DD firmaware update did shift the port numbers around, but it only seemed to change the TMC's port number.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
