3G Dongle
Just wondering if anyone had thought of trying and had any success using a 3G Contract Dongle, as opposed to piggy backing your phone?
You know the type, you get them and you can either pay monthly or pay as you go. |

I've had and used such in the past. It was through t-mobile and was supplied with a dock that effectively became a wireless access point. In my experience it was excellent - I used it as my main internet access whilst awaiting the installation of wired broadband.
You are obviously subject to the vagaries of coverage etc., and 'speed' can be an issue. Nevertheless, I found it most useful...and with t-mobile there are no data caps per se. For general browsing, email etc., it is ideal!

I don't think you'll be able to, as you need to install software for the dongle!

Thats a shame, could have done away with the wireless dongle, and the connecting up to Iphone all the time.
Nevermind. |
