Default losing GPS

I have one of Seans DD units.
The sat nav is fine with IGO8 but when I try to use Primo 2 (which I prefer) the unit keeps saying that the GPS is turned off.. then turns back on then off and round and round it goes.
I have tried a different GPS antena with the same result.
Put IGO 8 back in and again it's working perfectly. The baud rate on IGO8 is 9600 but don't know where to find it on Primo 2 .
Any ideas?

You need to be in the sys.txt file that's found in the Primo folder on the memory card.
There should be the following entry in there, it it's not there you should enter it.

[gps]
port=2
baud=9600

With any luck that should let Primo find the GPS.

I had exactly the same issue with my unit - a simple fix, hopefully yours will be the same.

My unit does not have TMC - yours, I suspect, is the same (not available on the Win CE units with newer menus). In my case, I looked at the Primo Sys.txt file and found a few entries relating to TMC. As my unit doesn't support this, I deleted all entries (make a backup first, just in case) and since than, all has been well. Didn't have to change Baud rates or anything - it was the TMC references that were causing the issue.

Hope this helps,

Cliff

Yep.. the baud rate was already set to 9600.

So I removed all the references to TMC as Teflon suggested and it now works fine.
Cheers
