[COLOR="Blue"]As Wraymond[ states, we, motorists, keep taking it in the neck for revenue, both in fuel price and any costs to run your vehicle (tax), and do nothing about it. If the tax for vehicles was equated properly, the government would be paying us to use the crumbling road system. Birmingham Council should be ashamed of the state of the roads in its area. Some roads are like slaloming down an icy slope in the alps. If tax was based on those roads, they would be paying out for us to use them. Sixth richest country in the world? Load of bull. More like 60th. We are being robbed in a big way./COLOR]

My ZT is the same, its a 54 plate so 20 years old next year. Just wondered if at that point it will be categorised as a classic car and the road tax will decrease? Can live in hope.

Is the VED attack on the MG ZT 190 / 260 From 1st April correct
Phew the Band K save the day for ZT 190 / 260 OWNERS SO LONG AS NOT A LATE REGISTER-
*Band K includes cars that have a CO2 figure of more than 225g/km but were registered before 23 March 2006. original post - over £700 to tax per year .... it seems like we will only be able to bring them out June - August. Car tax rates for cars registered between 1 March 2001 and 31 March 2017 If you bought your car before 1 April 2017 or buy a second-hand car that was registered before that date, the amount of car tax you pay will depend on the car's emissions. Below are the VED rates for cars registered between 1 March 2001 and 31 March 2017. VED band CO2 emissions (g/km) Annual rate A Up to 100 £0 B 101-110 £20 C 111-120 £35 D 121-130 £160 E 131-140 £190 F 141-150 £210 G 151-165 £255 H 166-175 £305 I 176-185 £335 J 186-200 £385 K 201-225 £415 L 226-255 £710 M More than 255 £735 https://www.whatcar.com/advice/ownin...xplained/n1153 Last edited by GMR; 21st March 2024 at 12:11.. |
