Got an hpi and all's well
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...ge/1?logcode=p
It's the later one, when I say that, I mean after reading Reebs (I think) that pointed out the cut back diffirences ie leather then plastic ect ect. I noticed the chrome "Rover" strip on the tailgate didnt say anything, and the badge was part of the strip and not on the tailgate. Also the plastic leather look handbrake handle, I know there's tons of others but didnt remember them all. It drove, stopped n steered well though, it didnt seem very quick on pick up though for a 2.0 (my wee Pug 2.0 is quicker but then it's a smaller/lighter car and manual). Oh one thing though.....when pressing the c/locking to open, the back doors opened but not the front, I had to use the key, and even then only the drivers opened not the pass. It's seemingly one owner from new with a s/h up to 08 and 30,000mls, the steering wheel a bit worn for 55000 though. All in all though....a nice drive and well built car....but is it the 2900 (bar a fiver) he's asking...I thought if I was going for it offering 2500 cash Last edited by Stu9; 18th July 2011 at 09:40.. |

Its a fairly low spec model but the seminly low miles would off-set that. £2.5k at a dealers would be reasonable i'd have thought or £2k private.

Offer him 2500 if you are happy with the Car after viewing it. Best way to haggle is to start at a lower level than you would expect to pay, so if you are happy with paying 2500 say offer him 2300 cash etc
I don't own a Diesel so not sure on the whole pick up thing. But I am sure someone would point you in the right direction with that, same goes for the C/L opening rear doors only. BUt remember, you can use info like that as a Bargaining tool ie "Ok so this doesnt work, that doesnt work and thats damaged, its gonna cost me £xxxx so I am prepared to offer you £xxx Cash" then haggle a bit. It looks a nice one, My Wife and I actually saw this one on Autotrader yesterday as we are looking the Diesel Tourer route. Then I realised I hadn't set the "Distance" parameter in my Search A bit too far for us lol. Good Luck

I didnt realise it was the club, I could offer 2300 and take it from there. Having said that, I spotted a coni not that far from me, a Y 01 at 1200 and 12000mls.
I did like that one today though, the body was virtually unmarked apart from a small ding (and I do mean small) in the back bumper.....but ****** green arrrhhhh....it was actually quite nice though truth be told |

The dealers markup seems to be 100%+ on these cars, so you have plenty of room to negotiate in..
Green is not a popular colour, so that works in your favour... ... |

You have to be so careful these days.
If it really really is only 55,000 miles then I would say about £2200 - but its suspicious - 55000 miles in 8 years - but then again only one owner, and if elderly, then possible. I quite like the Arden green colour but only with a light beige interior. I think dark green and black makes it a bit drab. Still you could always get a light beige leather interior for it, and then it would be nice. Good luck and dont let your heart rule your wallet. |
