Hi Trikey, there was no movement in the pulley and no wear on the outer edge of the belt...do you think perhaps its worth replacing the pump anyway as no other cause has yet been found? what you think?
what kinda cost would you expect and where would you source a replacement pls?

A good used one is the way to go, its not a terrible job to change, 2 hrs if you have not done it before.

Could be relief valve sticking causing excess load on pump .
