Yet another update.

Spent 9 hours in hospital today, emitted at 11:30 and discharged 20:30 and have to go back tomorrow for a ultrasound scan.

Tremendous leg and testes pain in both, some sort of reaction to the contrast dye from the CT scan on Monday; reckon the contrast has aggravated the original problem in some way (veins-arteries-nerves etc).

Had tones of blood tests done, all came back normal, had several examinations done by different doctors; only to be told everything looks normal. Ultrasound scan scheduled for tomorrow of the testes, see whats going on, CT results still not available as yet.

F-ing crazy situation, what the hell is going on? I'm learning towards a blockage, varicocele, nerve, artery problem.

The hospitals T4 isn't working, or I'm not throwing up any error codes for correct diagnoses...

That's another 3 hours at the hospital, ultrasound scan done, and the results are same as before; Grade 2 varicoceles 2.5mm in size. I was told the varicoceles need to be grade 4 for removal, this was at Bournemouth hospital.

I'm still waiting for the CT scan results from the specialist at Southampton, this guy seems more positive; so I shall wait for the next follow-up appointment.

I don't know how I managed to keep my dignity today during the ultrasound scan, I was in a darkened room revealing all with two lovely young ladies.

So today I was back at Winchester discussing the CT scan results, all came back normal, no abnormalities thank goodness.

Doc now reckons the pain and discomfort is down to the varicoceles, so he is sending me for a varicocele embolization (plug and seal off the veins), I just hope it bloooody works.

So its off to Winchester again today for another scan, they want to confirm that I have varicoceles.

I got hold of my previous two scan results, the 2018 scan shows varicoceles less than 2mm, the 2019 scan which was done last month shows 3.1mm, even though I was told it was 2.5mm.

Why they cant go by the most recent scan which was done only last month is beyond me, if only they knew what they were doing.

I really have lost all faith in the NHS.

Well! that was quick, had to go to Southampton, not Winchester. They now want to give me a varicocele embolization, the doc was very positive, reckons my case is typical of varicoceles.

Basically they go in through the neck vein and down to the testes and seal off the little buggers, an hour procedure in and out the same day, same as what klarzy (Pete) had done.

Hey fellas, anyone want to talk about their balls.

I'm due to have a varicocele embolization procedure done next week, and I done the stupid thing as to google what' s involved.

I came across this site... http://againstvaricoceleembolization.org/#comment-43821

I don't know what's worst, pain or more pain, can it get any worst?

Anyone here undergone a varicocele embolization?

I'm unimpressed with the registrar dealing with the ongoing thing with my liver. He told me I had scarring (cirrhosis) on my liver, no further info, felt numb on the way home. Speaking to my own GP I was surprised to be told yes there's scarring on my liver but all the liver function tests are perfectly normal I challenged the registrar about that at the last appointment, oh yes, your liver is still functioning perfectly normally and provided you are careful there's no reason why that should change Why the hell didn't he say that before, being told I had cirrhosis felt like a death sentence but now I know despite scarring the liver is working fine.

Hey thanks guys.

Its taken a very long time to get to this stage, years of appointments and an absolute fight to get them to do something, and they still don't know for sure if the varicocele embolization will work.

It seems a big risk to take, especially as they will destroy my large drainage veins that lead from the testes WTF is all that about?

Seems there are many guys who have had this procedure done, only to be left in worst pain, all because of the platinum coils they use.

Are you a risk taker Wes? If you do go for the coils op, we know from the other website of horrors, the coils can be removed post op. No one here can decide for you or say which is the best treatment for you. If you are a risk taker, you will have your answer.
