Evening each, hope you’re all doing ok.
Rich, I don’t know who is very I’ll but you’ve got my email if you need a chat I’ve been in a dark place recently but i’m feeling loads better now, I’m not good at talking about my problems but when you find someone who’s a good listener then that lifts the lid on all the pressure. |

Morning early birds
At last, after two days of virtually non-stop rain, punctuated by occasional bursts of torrential downpours - it's stopped! I'm on the 'pretty silly o'clock' school run this morning - need to be at grandbairns' house for 7.10am so daughter-in-law can get away to work - son will already have gone for a 6.00am start. My grandson's birthday today, a true teenager now at thirteen - gawd, where have the years gone ??

Had a pretty bad day yesterday.
Went to the hospital in the afternoon to see Mum in Law. She was in quite a lot of pain and it transpires that she may have a blockage in her bowel as well as the best infection and dehydration she was originally brought in for. She should be having further tests today and hopefully something can be done about it. On the way home from hospital last night I pulled out on the dual carriageway to overtake a car and standing dead still in the outside lane was a small Deer. Had no time to avoid it and we hit it at nearly 70 mph. The Deer would have been killed instantly as we hit it straight on and went over it, but had no way of stopping on an unlit bit of carriageway with no hard shoulder When there was somewhere safe to stop I went out to see what damage we had sustained . Quite a lot it would seem. Will be off to the garage this morning as apart from the bodywork damage I want to make sure all the steering, brakes, suspension etc are okay. Then will get some quotes for the work and decide whether to go through the insurance or not. Needless to say I won’t be going to work today. https://youtu.be/QsHJyH7vWXE

That's bad luck on the deer front Jeff. Think yourself lucky it didn't hit the screen. I hit a moorland sheep many years ago & wrote off my Austin A35 van. Mind you, it was so rusty you could probably have written it off by tapping it with a feather duster! Hope the damage to the car and your wallet isn't too bad

Hope the hospital can do what they can with your Mum in Law, as far as the car is concerned that can be repaired the main thing is you are alright and safe. Rev. |

Sorry to hear Ivy is not well Jeff, as far as the car is concerned, it’s a new bumper and grille, plus anything underneath. Don’t go through your main dealer, as it will cost you a mortgage for genuine Audi parts. Find a local independent body shop.
