[2019]
The setting sun reflects on the two vessels to the right, whilst some visiting tall ships lay at the adjacent jetty, Whitehaven Harbour/Marina July 2019. A golden calm on the Solway Firth at Whitehaven Cumbria, with a fishing boat about to enter the Harbour July 2019. A sultry, wispy evening Sunset over the Northern Solway Firth taken from Silloth looking toward a silhouetted Criffel Fell South West Scotland August 2019. A golden skyline over a silhouetted Marina Whitehaven sets the scene with a highlighted Beacon Museum to the left October 2019.

Hi John,
Those are great pictures again. Can I ask you what picture file size you're using and what file type? This forum bounces all of my iPhone pictures at only around 4Meg so you must be editing them if they are coming from a good SLR. I'd be interested in your process? |

First off, many thanks for your kind comments re-pics very much appreciated, I will, with my limited knowledge regarding my cam tech prowess [lol] try & explain. I must state at the outset I am by no means a pro in this just a very interested & enthusiastic amateur all pics on here are taken with my Samsung S5 Phone cam a bit old in the tooth now [excuse the pun] but still takes decent pics. Again Martin as said about my limited cam knowledge regarding settings, file types, sizes etc I will try to give you what my mob cam is set on when I take a shot & then when edited for use on here, will just use before & after example of the last shot above as an example. Before edit; File Type JPEG File Size 1.2MB Dimensions 3264X1836 After edit, File Type JPEG File Size 260.5KB Dimensions 1280X865 Many thanks again for your comments & interest with this Martin, I hope it is of use to you if you require anything further of which I may be able to assist with please keep in touch, in the meantime take good care of yourself & stay safe. Best Regards.....John.

[2019]
The setting sun silhouettes the trees above the Parkland of the remains of Workington Hall October 2019. The setting sun breaking through the cloud covering gives off a dramatic effect looking along the length of Derwentwater November 2019. The setting sun peaks through the wintry cloud covering, dramatically silhouetting the leafless branches of this lonesome looking tree in the Parkland of Workington Hall November 2019. The splendor of Loch Lomond looking North toward the setting sun on the Scottish Highland Mountains [note] the old disused paddle steamer to the centre right November 2019.

Thanks John for the quick reply.
I'm going to look at how I can do that on my laptop. I know how to do it in 'Tapatalk', but prefer a larger screen. When I transfer pictures from my iPhone, Windows throws a wobbly every time. Microsoft and Apple still at war probably. I might have to edit a copy on the iPhone and then download only the pictures I want for the post. Little project for later in the week. Cheers, Martin |

[2020]
The sunset casts it's rays through the silhouetted trees overlooking Derwentwater February 2020. 'Halo' in the sky above Derwentwater, casting it's glow on the water against the silhouetted trees February 2020. The warmth of this February evening glow can almost be felt in this shot over Derwentwater February 2020. A lone Yacht awaits at the landing stage with the setting sun casting it's evening glow from the top left corner in this scene February 2020.
