A Jaguar or A Rover!
Hello Dear Rovers
It has been a while that i posted pics here so out of curiosity i wanted to get everyone's thought and comment here. I am a Kiwi (New Zealand) and here in New Zealand - Auckland, Unlike Jaguars, Rovers are getting harder and harder to be spotted on the Road The Last time i saw a 75 myself on an open Road was well last year and once it passes by it really got my attention! Not that they are flashy or amazing but They are unique! and surely not the type of car you would see daily! So Few days ago been in the city to buy some stuffs and noticed a this Jaguar which parked besides me! This is a 2005 S Type SE i believe could as well be coming with premium Specs On the other hands here comes my 75! Go it 3 weeks ago now and can't still count number of compliments i got so far, and wanted to hear some of your thought and comments regards these two. BTW this is my 4th Rover being the Best i have owned it is indeed a 2001 2.5 Connoisseur SE with the best possible Specs that has ever put on any Rover 75 i owned Inside also is another story, featuring some of the best specs ever found on a 75, interior is a BMW Alarm system with a 360 LED vision similar to that of X5's (Retro-fitted), Android SatNAV featuring Internet Connectivity, Rear Camera and the list goes on and on...... I do agree both of these look similar and often mistaken by many people, The This particular S Type i admit looks stunning in every area but Hey this is me I am a Rover!!! All day Please share your comment and though below here. And few of my Rover 75's Pics below |

I was undecided whether to get a 75 or an s type but decided on a 75 for a few reasons one the 75 diesels are more economical than the 2.7 s type and 2 i love the shape and retro styling and interior of the 75 especially the walnut dash and superb retro dials. There are not many cars on the road as unique as a 75 and i believe one day they will be a very sought after classic.

I too have been looking at a Jaguar. On a personal level, I think the Jaguar is a better looking car. The 2007 model is lovely and the interior is good quality. I am not a fan of the MK1 75 front, so the Jaguar wins on that bit. The rear end of a ZT looks better than the S Type. Both are decent cars.
Some smashing S Types from 2006/7 going for decent prices. |

I would have the Jag in a flash, but can't afford its running costs....

I think my Rover 75 looks more stylish a regal than an S type and day of the week I do like the Arthur Daily Jags though

As i have stated previously, I love Jags, owning 9 currently, plus one Daimler, BUT the S Type is the only one I have not got on with, and sold within the year. It was a nice car, quiet, quick, and reasonably economical, but wouldn't stay on the road in damp conditions. BE CAREFUL!

My brother has the Jag but l haven't really taken much notice as they don't do anything for me. But then l'm a Rover man. Now l've added a 75 to my P4, P5B & P6's, l'll have a little comparison between it & the Jag. Aesthetically speaking though......Nah! 75 hands down.
XJ's maybe but running costs too prohibitive. |
