My wife worked at Hunter, USA for some years. Says their wheel allignment and balancing machines are the very best you can buy. The senator who owned Hunter was a really nice guy who actually cared for his workforce and wanted the very best, and so he made it! Not cheap, but literally unbeatable machinery.

I was warned off Nexen by a mate in the trade, he recommended some Three A P606's

ATS sell them, less than £50 a corner fitted and I'm very impressed, Google the reviews!

If this were a motorbike tyre thread, I'd be ALL over it, but unfortunately it isn't, so I know nothing. Continental are awesome bike tyres, and Pirelli are super sticky but not very distance orientated. Bridgestones are great in the dry but just disappear in the wet and slide all over the place with no warning.
Michelins are okay but expensive for what they are.
But that's bikes.

I'm after a set of 4 18" tyres. The tyre reviews web site is a good place to start, but even that is full of odd reviews.

the last two in the list have no reviews.

Id set a budget of £80.

I think unless there's a eureka moment or someone offers something unbelievable, I'll be trying the Barum, only in as much as they are partnered with Continental.

Falken Ziex ZE914 15 £88.89
Toyo Proxes T1 Sport 22 £96.00
Barum Bravuris 2 31 £75.00
Kumho KU31 44 £77.00
Nexen N6000 60 £61.00
Nexen N8000 62 £61.00
Federal SS595 90 £57.00
Maxxis Pro R1 NA £69.00
Barum Bravuris 3HM NA £92.00
I had exactly your problem last September with my Club SE Tourer 2003.After hours of trolling and checking reviews I finally settled for Kumho .This company is extremely easy to contact, they even run Forum on their tyres, answer all questions using their own tech staff. Since fitting have to say they are nicest tyre I have ever had, the present model of tyre is brand new to Kumho ,so they are only too happy to hear from you. I recommend them as a tyre with a great spec plus a sensible price.

Three A's appear to only come in 40 not 45 profile. Mt previous ZT had 40's fitted and it was a horrible drive

Agreed. Made the mistake once. Worst few. Months of my life driving my zt.

Sold them and straight back to 45 again.

For some reason. 40's appear to be a lot cheaper then 45's which is, I suspect why so many ZT's end up with them being fitted
