Question Reset Inspection Meter after home service

Hi all,
I just did an oil & filter change on my MG 190 ZT, can I reset the Inspection Km meter without any specialised equipment?
Also my dash display screen/warnings seem to be in German?!( screen is missing around 1/3 pixels) does anybody know how to set this to english?
Thanks in advance.
Sam

You can reset the service indicator using a paperclip or piece of wire: https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...read.php?t=217

Although looking at other posts, this method seems to be a bit hit and miss. The tool suggested above is easier to use.

Another option, and this is how I do it, is to use the free IPK Changer software created by Phil- T4. See post #197:
https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...227943&page=20

You will need a laptop and the right cable to do this though.

You might be able to change the message centre language with the IPK Changer software, I can't remember. Failing that, TOAF (which is also free) should be able to do it: https://toaf.roverki.eu/index.php/en/download-en

You will need a laptop and cable for TOAF too. Be very careful when making changes with TOAF though, make sure to do back-ups beforehand!

I used to use the paper clip method, but when I acquired the 2.5V6, my son had bought a BMW obd2 box of tricks. Much easier and quicker.

I have tried the paperclip method and the E-Bay BMW device with no success on my 190.
Has anyone tried the Gunson service interval tool? Results?
