Morning all, Sunshine & blue skies here.

Yeah Sad demise of British industry, we always seemed to have that uncanny knack of shooting ourselves in the foot after being at the forefront of many industries. Jobs for the masses are as you say very sadly consigned to history.

Evening all, lots of showers rolling through but at the moment it's a beautiful evening.
Roast beef dinner for tea tonight.

Good news
Evening all, I had my second blood test for sugar levels yesterday, rang the surgery tonight, and it has come back normal.. A relief for me, I can still have the things I enjoy, but on a much reduced scale.

It's been a canny day in Norfolk today - fair few clouds, but of the white variety - plus a lot of blue sky and sunshine. We trotted up to Cromer early afternoon, where there was a cool breeze off the water. However, it was pleasantly warm in No.1, Cromer - a VERY nice fish'n'chip shop where we partook of cod & chips, and a pot of tea apiece. Not the cheapest meal we've ever eaten, but superb quality and quantity, with loads of chips, and gluten free for madam too.
Not really hungry enough for tea now - I may have to just drink the bottle of Hog Father Cider which is in the fridge and forget about grub for tonight

There wasn't any Hog Father cider in the fridge either - so I had to have a bottle of Thatchers Katy instead - the crosses we have to bear

I used to overnight stay in the lorry on Redcar coach park, right in front of the sea on a regular basis back in the 1970's. We picked up prilled urea (fertiliser) from around there on a regular basis, cant remember the company now . Back then I took our jack Russell with me everywhere in the lorry and she loved going in the sea there & a long walk down the beach, as Rod said the air had it's own aroma there and the smell of a wet dog shivering in the cab and the air outside that you could taste wasn't nice at times but the fish & chips there made up for it. What is it wi wimmin!!! she came back from her weekly visit from her friends and said I've bought another set of wardrobes (used) for that room (My guitar/computer room) because those old ones look horrible ....I said there's nowt wrong wi em. I hate changing things around as I know where all my gear is and now I've got to shift everything out and will have to wrestle with a load of flatpack furniture tomorrow under the computer desk is a spaghetti junction of wiring for my recording devices, I'll never remember where everything goes, it is dusty under there I must admit. They cant leave you alone. Time for a swilly me thinks.
