I'm just so annoyed that Autoglass don't want you as a customer if it isn't an insurance job!
I work for Autoglass and the reason we are not taking cash / card jobs at the moment is that we are so busy, might be a wrong move giving away cash jobs but contractual work is more important at the moment, shame your not closer as i could of sorted something out with your screen

The irony is, its "their" screen that's leaking. I have the receipt when it was fitted! It was one of their screens leaking in my white one as well. Possibly a good job they refused to do it again. *sighs*

They do offer a lifetime guarantee for stuff like that but is not transferable when the car is sold

Exactly, and both screens were fitted by previous owners - I think given they fitted it, they should at least sort it for payment, though! But nope the person online couldn't give a monkeys. Bad customer service, that!

front one I have been told will break and so windscreen places I have tried wont take one out.

mmmm, if you cant afford the screen don't buy it. Save up for it.
In the mean time try silicon sealant or https://www.force4.co.uk/cpt-tolley-...iABEgIz8_D_BwE

A good windscreen guy will be able to remove the screen without breaking it.

Dawn, try Bee Windscreens in Sheffield http://bee-windscreens.co.uk/ , I’m pretty sure they’ll come out to you.
Our firm has used them for the last 20 odd years and never had a problem
I hope they can help

Exactly, I use 4A Windscreens in Newcastle for this type of work, they charged me £40 to remove a screen from a scrapper and fit it to my 75, handy as I don't have glass cover
