It is not what is reported but the manner that is used. Apparently Manchester Airport had to cancel 10% of flights, so 90% were OK. Also Wales was almost cut off because a couple of bridges were closed. I never new Wales was an island served by a couple of bridges.

Let's make a drama out of a crises why don't we?

Tomorrow, Saturday, will be a lot less windy yet much more rain, so we'll have to check those plenums again.

I dont think much rain is due Lincoln area tomorrow thank goodness. Did not get on the workshop roof this evening, wife not home and too dark.

3 dead and some made homeless, my roof does not seem such an issue.

The 10% measure is far more informative than the 90% measure given that the expectation is of no cancellations. Ask any competent risk management professional and they will tell you that in cases such as this the 10% measure is far more useful.

I would argue that the drama exists only because a percentage of the population do nothing but to dissect how things are reported but from their own perspective.

I can't see the south getting too much rain after all and it's a cracking start to the day here.
Much to the dismay of my late partner I would love the bumpy rides on aircraft due to turbulence.. Me waving my hands in the air was a strange contrast to people screaming out prayers on one particular flight.

There's a video shown on the news sadly showing a church spire in Wells toppling, but if you get the chance, watch the gutters and soffits on the house on the right.

Nope completely wrong and life is too short to argue.

Anyway will leave this now as I've got an old apple tree that's been left swaying in the breeze and needs to be lopped, a ridge tile on the conservatory which needs to be replaced as well as a trip to the now open local tip.

Stay safe folks.

Not as as bad as most folks though
