Headlining removal help
Am planning to remove my headliner this weekend, for recovering. A few questions. Car is a 75, 2001 Connoisseur SE, with sunroof, and A and B pillar airbags.
Apart from disconnecting the battery, how do I remove the pillar trims (A and B), and I assume the A pillar on the driver's side needs to be completely removed for access to the headlining wiring loom plugs to be undone. Can the others just be partially removed enough to allow the headlining to move out from under them? Also, are there any things I need to be aware of around the sunroof, or is the headlining not attached to it in any way? John |

The airbag A-pillar trims were designed to be single use only, so the plastic attachment 'lugs' break off when you pull them away from the metal bodywork pillar
BUT..... if you have a set of security torx allen keys (available from Halfrauds), you can just get in behind and very carefully release the retaining straps from the trims, allowing them to be removed, then the lug that normally breaks can be carefully released from the spring steel clips in the pillar Sorry I don't have any pics to explain this, but I've removed and refitted them a few times, so it is possible. The B-pillar trims just need the airbag badge prizing out, then from memory, are removed like a conventional (non airbag) trim
