How about this version? Couldn't get the "auto" tool to do blue, so I recoulored the red by hand - hope I got the blue close enough! I've also improved the tear repair, and removed some of the "noise" from the original.
BTW, if you should want to download a full sized version of either pic, you should be able to grab one from my Flickr page here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/146282625@N03/ Cliff

Interesting to see the correct colour shade - I may well have another go over the weekend .
I've been having a play with some old family photos and depending upon the quality of the original photo, the results can be quite impressive. It seems to handle greenery best of all, so photos taken outdoors in garden etc seem to fair best. All in all though, an impressive tool I think Cliff

Just couldn't resist a final fiddle .
This version should be pretty close as I sampled the colour from your other photo. The purple cassock may well be wrong though, as I'm colour blind (now he tells me!!) and purple is one of the colours that I don't seem to get. I once had a dark blue car that everyone said was purple, so to me, purple = dark blue If it's too vibrant, let me know and I can tone it down a tad. As before, original version on Flickr . Cliff

I've been out today with the camera and decided to have another play with this function..
The sun was too strong to take a good exposure from the angle I was trying to shoot at, so as soon as I'd finished, I lifted the camera up and took a shot of the sky, correctly exposing it. I then changed the sky in my original shot in photoshop. I don't know how I feel about this really. The sky was real, both photos were taken at the same location. I took both photos and used them to create one.. It doesn't appear to have done an especially good job of swapping the sky though. You can see where photoshop has cut the sky out and pasted the new one in if you look carefully. It would always be my preference to get everything in one shot, but what do you think, if you physically can't get the shot you want from the angle you're at. Would you consider it acceptable to take your shot, then take another of the sky afterwards to get it exposed correctly? Autumnal colours at Craig Goch Dam, Wales... by Philip Davies, on Flickr

I suppose it really depends what your aims are, and how you intend to use the final image. Cliff

That's good to hear and was kind of how I felt about it as well. My photos are just for my enjoyment really. They go on Flickr and Instagram and sometimes on my wall at home.

I have recently got back into photography and have very quickly realised that not only do you need to take a good "snap", you also need to be an editing expert too! My old 35mm days have long gone. Taking to the chemist to be developed and that anxious few moments as you open the results a week later! I remember my old Irish great grandma saying "That was taken just out of focus" and great grandad saying "Where is Focus? I don't remember going there!"
