Make sure when you put the glue on it doesn't stand proud on the lugs or you will struggle to get it back in the door , I put a small amount on the lugs and then went around the long pieces, there is a small gap on these long bits and I filled along the gap making sure it went between the gap, ,if you use something like arildite you can put it on the piece and then push and hold it in place until it sets , hint ...use a quick set one or you will be there all day

They look the cats whatsits> what sort of preparation did you do for the paint.

Rubbed down with 240 wet and dry , to rough the chrome surface , sprayed with filler primer , light sand with 2000 wet and and dry , 2 top coats , 1 clear coat
