Hey mods, can one of you fine gentlemen please pm me the method for opening my bonnet. I think one of the cables has snapped cos I've already done the bonnet release fix before.

Thanks
Graham

Btw, it's not unknown (to me&#128544 to have done the bonnet release mod, yet still have the cable go slack (not snapped) due to the wee lug popping out of its holder.

This info is not given out on a "just in case" basis. As I was told when I joined the Club

However these links may help.....

Service the bonnet lock mechanisms

PS:Threads merged as they are related.

Got it open eventually, I think the lock mechanisms were at fault. I've greased them up for now, but I'll service them properly when it's a bit warmer out there. Thanks for the help

Slacken the 2 bolts either side of the holes in the slam panel where the bonnet pins enter

For the benefit of members, especially North-East members, Rovetec Clarence Row Stockton-on-Tees keep bonnet cables in stock. 👍
