Have just managed to get him on the mobile and he claims they are approaching the Romanian/Bulgarian Border and should be with us about 8-8:30pm. Due to the house move have giving him the new address by SMS so will have to see now if he actually turns up or not.

What an awful situation, why could the cars not have been driven? why did you decide to use transport?
Just curious?

The simple reason is that I cannot drive two at once! Plus mother is 82, partially sighted and on quite a bit of medication, she cannot cope without help so i could not leave her alone to fly back and drive one car across then repeat for the second. Transport seemed the best way it just seems we chose the wrong transporter.

Default Update the 75 is here

Well finally around 10:30 pm last night they turned up with the Rover 75 CDT and she appears to be no worse for the ordeal. When I spoke to him on the mobile he first said that he was still in Romania thens everal hours later when i phoned as wondered what was happening he was approaching the border. Still no ign of message then it was we are in Bulgaria and will be with you later. By this time it was getting on in the day so told them to go to the new address which is closer to them and saves me moving her from Ruse to the new village house. he said about 7-8pm so we drive over there in the Discovery and nothing so phoned again and he was still hundreds of kilometres away!!!

So we decide we have to wait. Mother got a little sleep at the new house they finally showed up around 10:30 pm in the centre of the village. I had to relay both cars back to the house on the edge of the village and unloaded the 75's boot.

A/C does not seem to be blowing as cold??? it was flushed and refilled a few months back so not sure why this should be.

Though her documents it seems are still in Germany!!! they will have to DHL them to us.

The MGF is still in Germany as well though he says that shoud be here by the end of the week. I will not be hoding my breathe on this one either.

On another note someone screwed up on the Discovery insurance the windscreen sticker is wrong so got to get issue sorted out now. Never rains but it pours.

I've been following this thread since you first posted. So relieved for you that you've got your '75. Hopefully the MG will follow in due course.

Must be very stressful, especially on top of the usual pressures of relocation.

Really sorry to read about your problems here. But I'm impressed, mightily, that you didn't punch the guy in the face when you got one car back! It's the lack of communication and honesty that's so incredibly infuriating! Problems and mistakes happen, but the way you have been treated with this is criminal!

Hope everything works out in the end. Good luck!
