That's what I want to do! I want a USB socket in the rear ashtray, one in the tray thing above the glovebox, one in the arm rest and when I stick in Seans' unit, I'll have one there too. I'll keep the fag lighter socket as there may be a time when I want to charge or power a unit that isn't USB powered, such as my OLD Sat Nav (can't see that happening, but you never know!).
Just have to find out how to actually supply power to them. |

Several empty spaces in the fuse box in the passenger foot well you could fit a piggy back fuse holder into to pick up switched or UN-switched power.

Thanks everybody for telling where you've all fitted your USB sockets in the various places around your car, but can anyone provide an answer to my original post which asked if I could be given a link of what socket to buy please!

I used something similar to this
