Default Wind noise passenger side

Have read heaps of posts regarding a wind / airflow noise which appears around the 50kph mark.
Seems to be coming from around the passenger side mirror area or door seal area.
Tried to tape up various bits up to no avail.
Appears heaps of 75s and zits have had this issue , some from new looking at post dates, but all of the posters never really found the cause apart from the possible cause being new type mirrors fitted around late 2003 or bending the top of the door in a little to make a better seal.
Only thing I haven't done is take to mirror off to see if the rubber seal inside the mounting area is ok .
Anyone ever nailed this wind leak down ?

I had a whistling sound from both sides at about 30 mph, replaced the foam seals on the door mirrors and the problem was sorted.

Mine is not so much a whistle, more of a air leak sound when over about 40kph.
Could be the rubber seal inside the mirror mount but not sure.

Wind noise is often due to wear between the window and the edge channeling. There's a thread somewhere discussing the application of a very thin 'felted' tape between the glass and the channels. You can get this self-adhesive tape from eBay and it apparent#ly gives impressive results. I have bought a roll, but haven't got around to trying it. My noise is quite low at present. I'll try to find the thread.

EDIT: See post 16-on https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s....php?p=2171235

Not heard of any tape around the windscreen as I thought they were just bonded using a urethane adhesive to the car.
The sound appears to be around the side mirror area but could be around the A pillar . It is strange because it is hard to nail down its exact location.
When you open any of the windows it appears to stop probably due to pressure.
When the car gets hit by a gust of wind whilst driving the sound increases so somthing to do with external air pressure hitting the passenger side of the car.
I'm wondering if the glass on the passenger door is sealing properly although it appears to be closed and tight?
My next port of call will be to remove the side mirror and check the seal out.

Squeeze the mirror back, it sometimes comes away from the main housing causing a whistle.

Mine is the drivers side (can't hear the passenger side and the wife is oblivious of rattles and noises!). On the motorway at 70 (not 80 or 90, as I am a law abiding citizen), there is a definite "something sticking out" kind of wind blast noise. As genpk says, it sounds like the top of the door needs bending in a mm or 2, but it isn't that loud. So I turn the radio up a bit and ignore it.

Definitely doesn't SOUND like it is the mirror though, more the A frame, or the top of the door, but there is no noticeable difference when pulling the door handle hard to close the door more tightly, so it probably isn't that; more likely the mirrors but doesn't sound like it's from that area.

When you find out, let me know what the solution is!

Windscreen? I'm referring to the side windows. The OP is concerned about noise from the area near the passenger door mirror/door seal.[/QUOTE]
