When I get my next 75 when they need doing I'll have no hesitation in fitting Powerflex's again. In fact on The Pretty One every bush that Powerflex make for the car have been fitted & all have given no issues whatsoever.

Regards

Paul

Please get in touch, and we'll sort something out.
Perhaps I misunderstood, my apologies in advance if I have, but I thought the issue here is that the supplied bush is not the same as the type you have been supplying previously under the same SAIC OEM label. Therefore by definition it is not the original SAIC part. It looks like the usual generic Chinese bush that is sold all over the place.

Could it be that you supplier of SAIC parts is now doing the same as X-part appear to have done with a few parts in that generic parts are sold under the OEM name?

I believe the CDT alternator now supplied by X-part is a generic Chinese item as opposed to the original Valeo OEM alternator. Also, the TAZU clutch master & slave cylinders.......

[QUOTE=75c;2653964]Dont name the supplier but let them know. I'm sure they'd want to know and they'd want a chance to put it right
People need to know the supplier everytime if they could cause accident or incident .These certainly fall into that category

I just have mine re-filled with polyurethane. No fancy cut outs. Lasts forever. Cheap too.
Not that difficult to change and not a safety issue if the metal does not fail.

Totally agree, had a water pump changed a couple of years ago by my mechanic.
Normally i would supply the part but this time asked them to supply it.
Thank god i did, pump started leaking after about 3 months, took it back and they refitted a new one, again another leak after a couple of months, refit etc
Ended up put 3 in and finally got a good one all at the mechanics cost!!
They in turn went at the supplier of the parts.
If i had supplied the parts it would have cost a fortune.
Thats how important it is for suppliers to quality assess what they buy in from
China etc as their business may live or die from what they buy in.

Obviously you dealt with an honest person and a man that stood by his words, even when it cost him.
People like that are worth taking note of, and worth keeping dealing with.
You should have mentioned who he was, deserves that.

It is a shame that you had them fitted, now you have the cost of having the bushes fitted again, no amount of warranty takes this in to account if the part does not work as it should or is not up to the job.

I wonder if the garage want any more photo's taken if so you will not have to pay out the costly labour hopefully those Unipart ones will do the job for you.

I have found the MG8 bushes to be quite good, they can be bought on this form. But I have to say polybush make a range of replacement bushes which are far better than the original bushes.
Just make sure you buy the kit you need they make several different kits for different requirements. Eg road use, or full rally spec usually called black bush. Some of their kits vary between petrol and Diesel. Sometimes it is better to use the original sleeves with poly bush stabiliser bars, or have a brass bush turned up at their metal one can be a bit, let’s say just not as good as their bushes.
Most traders will replace faulty goods with out any problem. Though unless you are doing the work yourself you have the labour charge which can be painful.

I fitted some poly Pitor ones back in 2014 to my tourer, also a few other nano members fitted them also these were easy to fit and worked good, as far as I know they are still on the car now.

I remember the first set being fitted at the Nano Steve. They looked equal to the Powerflex ones. Found my Powerflex's easy to fit & they still work fine.

I know they have their detractors but I've had no issues.
