Default Here's a Curious One

Here is a curious one. Allegedly a low mileage, but quite obviously some time has been spent on it, as in it looks like its been built from at least two cars, or was it a real bottom of the parts bin build?

Headlight washers, that arent going to wash well? (it's this that particularly makes me think it is NOT a parts bin or even a special order for that matter)
'Computer' stalk without the IPK
75 wheels, and seats (driver's look like it has done more than 11k miles - although the carpets look 'young', and body looks good)
75 steering wheel but ZT gear knob, and gaiters
75 side repeaters
5 hole black oak dash, with the buttons moved around.
HK tweeters (or just badges)
Did a 1.8 N/A have cruise and traction available (maybe buttons to fill the holes?)
At least the shelf looks present and of course airbag light on lol

I think it works quite well with the cream seats. Not sure about the cream centre section. I think the placement of the cruise control is better where this person had fit it. Less stretching and fumbling around.

Hmm, non SE 75 Contemporary wheels and a Contemporary steering wheel, it has the wrong rear bumper for a 120, the seats are from a Mk1 75 and the drivers seat squab is split.

No 1800 had cruise or traction, and a message centre stalk with a lowline IPK.......either the stalk has been replaced, or the IPK which I would question given the claimed mileage, bearing in mind the registration number has been obscured.

Apart from that, the car has the cardinal sin... a boomerang spoiler retrofit

Very unusual, but not for me I'm afraid, too suspicious, and the Sandstone looks incongruous with the Ash Grey.

The IPK has been apart, it has MG dial faces with 75 dial surrounds fitted.........

Won't be able to use it though, since there's no cruise controls on the wheel.

It's also a NASP 1800, and I have a nice Firefrost 75 I can slot into for that experience

Looks to me like it's past owner got a bit carried away with the fiddling around, and ended up with a bit of a Frankensteins monster.............. "It lives!!!"

I agree, have considered doing this myself, and swapping places with the central locking, which to me is more suited above the ashtray.

The wheels were the first thing that stood out for me, it popped up on a pan europe search engine for car for sale. But then the seats in the image made me take a look. I missed the dials, which I think is a popular choice for people (incl. me, I have tried a few different mods, but the chrome ring ones I think finish it off)

It turns out I have actually seen this car, and seen it sold before, but it has been modified. The mileage is genuine, and I reckon the previous owner has modded it to suit his tastes etc. It is not my taste (but then i know my car is not others' taste either). I can understand why though. I experimented with smokestone bits, but didnt work out the way I had hoped. I think it could be a hard sell, but that could just be my taste causing bias, even though I am a huge fan of cream interiors.

Perhaps it's one of the ones completed after MGR went bust and they used whatever they had left lol
