I had a swimming pool in mine when I brought it, which I didn't find out for a while. It was the rear light seals. I siliconed everything that I could find. I think I got it all, but I do get a steamy rear window and I don't know why.

In order to dry everything out, there was just no practical way to strip out the inside of the car, plus there's no way I'd have been capable of doing it, so I stuck a dehumidifier in there for a few days. It sucked out about 18 trays full of water! I had the cable running through the passenger window and taped the tiny gap up and just let it run. Every morning, I'd empty the tray and leave it going. Took a while but everything became nice and dry and the smell left and there was no mould or anything.

Months later, I also had the pipe from the drivers sunroof come away behind the dash so when it rained it all ran inside the car. I fixed that, glued the pipe in and did the de-humidifier trick again. I did the passenger plunum pipe connection thing behind the glove box at the same time, just in case!

It did draw all the water out of the car, because if I'd have stripped it all out to dry it off, I'd still have an empty car. I am rubbish.
