Evening all, I saw the surgeon this evening at a hospital in Bristol and asked him to explain the CT scan I had in Nairobi in November. What he explained was a surprise.

The nodule inside the lung is quite common but it will have to be monitored as the nodule can become cancerous. The other finding was that of a collapsed lung. The rest of the CT scan was normal.

He said I would need to see a lung specialist about the nodule and collapsed lung, I was not expecting that. He is going to refer me back to the NHS for the monitoring of the Aneurysms.

The one in the knee is 2.3 cm and at 2.5 cm, it will need a repair with a graft/stent to stop it from blocking up, could be a year off.

I will have the collapsed lung and nodule attended to when I am in South Africa. If it was bad, I would go to A&E at Southmead Hospital, but as I have had it since November, I can wait until I am in South Africa. What annoys me is how the doctors in Nairobi never told me about the lungs.

Have a peaceful night .....zzzzz

Long day today, up at the workshop at 7 this morning to get some bits off ready to post, then work for 8, had a tachograph install on a VW Amarok, not overly complicated but quite time consuming, you have to fit a modified diff pan to take a speed sensor. Then post office to send some parcels, another quick visit to Longbridge then shower, tea & telly, long time since I’ve watched one of those, bottle of aspalls & some marksies beef wellington crisps to wind down, bed time now though

Morning Phil, Col, Andy, Bob ,Jeff, Ian and Rod. Collapsed lung eh? Did you not feel breathless or have any pain with that Phil? How's the repairs to your house coming along Colin? Yet another frosty morning here today, I collect the new van today then will have to spend the rest if the day getting it kitted out ready for work on Monday.
