Cool

Morning everyone.

Raining since last night, and more on the way.

A wet and rocky night it was last night on board......not in the biblical sense though

Home today, so Norfolk weather should recover

Had a visit from the contractors who are “repairing” my house yesterday, I’m not confident it’s going to be a nice job, my living room, porch, staircase & landing are all in one yet they are talking about only decorating to the top of the stairs & not doing the landing, that’s going to look good, for the sake of about 6 more strips of wallpaper and painting a bit of skirting board, they weren’t going to touch the porch at all, even though the tiles have all come loose & when you lift the sunken door mat, the wayrocs look like weetabix underneath, yet the surveyor missed it off his report. I have very little confidence in this job now. It’s not as if I’m one these who purposely damages every electrical appliance & piece of furniture in the house & claims for it all, I just want my house fixed & a new sofa & yet they keep telling me things like “That will probably just dry out” and “There’ll be no need to replaster that” & so on.
I haven’t been rehomed, I’ve had no expenses, the least they could do is do a proper job

Blimey! It doesn't fill you with confidence with the way they're trying to 'nickel & dime' you over those jobs.
I hope they come good for you.

Get back on to,your insurers Colin and tell them you aren’t happy with what the planned repairs are, make sure you say it’s only a short stretch of landing and tell them about the porch floor.

LOL Oh! heck Andy, the things we do for our pets, I think I'll be shampooing the carpet when I've got all the loose dirt out of it.

To misquote Larry Grayson - "what a grey day". Grey skies, darker grey clouds and a touch of grey drizzle in the air - at least it's a few degrees warmer.
Got to restock the freezer this morning - we've had it switched off for 24 hours to de-frost it, so the contents are all over the place in cool bags & boxes.

Afternoon all, It's stopped raining but that wind ain't half picked up, Some of those gusts don't half rattle the conservatory roof.

I knocked off work about 3pm as it was hoying it down, by the time I had driven 2 miles it stopped again. Then it started again a bit later.
