I wonder if a trainee welded the original in the wrong place, and they put one on the new pipe thinking it was supposed to be there?
I was under Mo doing brake cables last month. Never noticed anything like that

Well, bit of a wet day for it, but the aircon is now sorted. The condenser simply fell into pieces when touched. The new one was a devil to fit as the bolt holes were not big enough. The brackets off the old one had to be used in the end! To quote Foreigner, "She's as cold as ice..." now. Next Saturday its the Krown treatment. More photos on that after!

Sometimes delegating work is better than DIY, especially when it's carried out by someone who takes huge pride in what he does

I replaced the nearside wing and passenger door, replaced the arch liner, fitted the slam panel then noticed that the wire to the fan resistor had rubbed through, removed that as it didn't work anyway, and I've ordered a gold replacement.
Getting a bit closer

Hi David.
When you changed the passanger door, did you remove everything off the original one, and put it into the replacement?
I have a drives door to replace but there isn't a how-to.
Just a scary thread about how danged fiddly the actuator can be
I need to know sequence of items, unseen problems etc.

Brill, I'll let you know once Tom's finished working his magic.

I'll be heading that way in a borrowed tourer, returning it to it's owner in Woodborough, I'll be happy to see the grey one finished for a while
