Self Levelling Damper Query
When I found the Moonstone Tourer, X702UOK, one of the apparently odd things about it's specification was the diameter of rear dampers - they seemed to be much bigger than any listing I could find on here (from memory, standard Tourer units were thought to be 42mm o/d, whilst the self levellers were 48mm).
Now, some of you might have seen the Royal blue 51-plate Tourer that I collected on Monday (in the 'For Sale' section) and this car is just the same, with rear dampers that have an external casing diameter of exactly 60mm. This car was built in Sept 2001. Does anyone know whether the spec of self levellers was changed part way through the production run, or why these earliest estates seem to be different ?

Thread moved to a more appropriate forum. Re-direct left in old. This may be the better forum as threads get ‘lost’ very quickly in the General Forum.
