Never heard of any Nano meets here in the North west of England.

I created a map showing T4 locations and nano meets . . . . discovered there is only one nano meet, the Midlands one.

BigBen has meets in South Wales but I don’t think they are ones where you get your hands dirty. I’m surprised there is only one dirty hands nano.

It’s a great shame that there is only one NANO meet venue, it would be great if we could set up more, maybe one in the south east, south west and north east.
But must not forget Scotland and Wales too . |

That's the thing, there has to be enough interest and enthusiasm and I feel if there was there wouldn't be only one nano meet.

The North West is so big it would be logistically difficult. I live in the North West but some of it is three hours south for me Have a go at organising an event and see who’s up for it

I live 4 miles from The Midlands nano meet and it amazes me that people travel from Cornwall, Essex, Brecon in Wales, Leeds and Nottingham to name but a few locations and some travel over 5 hrs to get there. So to quote from field of dreams "build it and they will come" |

Having attended many Nano's I've probably learnt more there than anywhere.
I think anyone thinking of organising something similar should attend one & talk to the likes of Trebor, Arctic or Woollysox etc to see what's involved. It's also understanding the Ethos of it, it's about you getting your hands dirty & doing stuff yourself, learning & assisting others (as long as you're physically able), not just standing around while someone else works on your car. Plenty of places to stay & as it's a 2 day thing, make a weekend of it Regards Paul
