Clay Mitt
Well as we are all on lockdown, I thought why not clean the MG and try out my new clay mitt, I think it came up nice with a quick polish too.

Looking good. How did you get one with the clay mitt? I've heard good things about them.

The thing is with a clay mitt, you have to make sure it's clean before using it again, otherwise you'll scratch the paint to hell next time you use it

Looking fab.
Respect. . As for using "clay" I'd never heard of such a thing until a few years ago when I started to take an interest in detailing. Claying is a bit weird - you can actually feel something "gritty" coming off the paintwork . But it makes a huge difference to the final finish. I've used a clay bar but far prefer a mitt. For me it's just easier to use but each to their own. I use a CarChem one, well lubed with their excellent 1900:1 shampoo. https://www.car-chem.com/shop/fine-grade-clay-mitt https://www.car-chem.com/shop/super-suds-shampoo Andy. |
