Default Never rains but it pours....

Well, where do I start....

First off, last week I purchase my perfect ZT-T, 190+ in Raven black, low miles, and all the good options added.

Just before the weekend I had the check engine light come on, then go off, then return, then off...you get the picture. I get the car booked into a local specialist with T4 for yesterday. Then over the weekend I had the airbag fault flash up, so after reading here about it, I did the old unplug and replug wires under the seats. This works, but only temporary.

Had the car on the T4 yesterday and the intermittant check engine fault is being caused by the O2 sensor on the even bank responding slow, it also showed the known wiring issues with both front seats and the airbags.

Could have done without all that in my first week of ownership, but it got infinately worse this afternoon, the company I work for has just folded...completely. Locked doors, everyone out.

No more work, no redundancy packages, nowt.

I must admit that I have never actually felt as physically sick as I do now.

I don't have much to fall back on, so I have to get money from wherever possible, and the first area is the car that I have just bought. Now in state that values it less than it's purchase price a week ago, and I certainly can't afford to right it's wrongs and then try to sell it, as I have no idea where my next £ is going to come from, and food and rent take extreme priority.

So that's it...me = screwed, my dream car has to go, along with a few other bits. I would look on the brightside, but quite frankly, I can't see one.

Sorry to use you guys as a sounding board, but I just feel like I had to 'talk' to someone.

Cheers

Neil

Really sorry to read of your poor furtune, Neil. Life can suck sometimes. Let us know how you get on.

There seems no justice in losing a job with no warning, or redundancy. I've been made redundant 3 times in my life but at least I had a little redundancy to live on in each case, so I don't know how you are bearing up under the circumstances.

Take care, mate, I hope things improve soon and, as I say, keep us updated, even if only as a sounding board when you need to let off steam

Andy

Sorry to hear of your problems, both with the car and your job. The air bag issue should not be too hard to sort out - even a clutz like me was able to fix mine. As for the O2 sensor, I may be wrong but I think that will only be a big factot when the MOT comes around.

The job issue must be gutting, but sometimes these things happen for a reason. You sound like a flexible person who could adat to another role. The main thing is to stay positive. There will be something else out there for you, perhaps better things than you had before. As Windrush said, keep in touch and let us know how things go.

Probably shouldn't say this, but that car would fetch you more broken up. You'd get £250 for the powerfold mirrors and switch pack, the blue alcantara seats would fetch £150, xenons another £150... that's £550 straight off without much effort.

In fact, you could replace all of those with standard headlights/seats/mirrors for very little outlay, still have a useable car and have a few hundred quid in your pocket.

Whatever you do though, good luck. Redundancy is tough, but from there things can only get better.

Really feel for you. The same thing happened to me 25 years ago, got to work all shut with a note on door saying thank you and good bye.
3 weeks later got offered a 3 month contract that turned into full time.
Still here in France with the same employer. They treat their staff much better over here.

Its not really about getting a few quid from breaking parts....its about getting as much cash asap.

It should be payday for me on Friday (monthly paid) and something tells me that it isn't going to happen.

I'm hoping fingers crossed that this will eventually lead to something better, but for now I don't know.
