Hi Brian,

Yes I am well aware. The issue was that the weekend of the 13th/14th is the only one I have free until late December, as I am actually living down in Wales until Christmas. I am down here, with no car, nor income, but still try my damndest to provide a service to members and I hope, make their experience of the club better! Despite my circumstances, as I have always stated - I am here for the members and no one else.

As I havn't heard anything from anyone about the NEC, I had to bite the bullet and organise an event so I had something to present to members, and live up to my promises.

Surely one event was better, than what potentially may have been none?!?

As my understanding of the situation has lied (I'm not privy to the higher workings you see.) The club was going to let it's members down and I didn't find this acceptable especially as the NEC is on my "watch" so to speak.

At the moment we are looking at nearly 20 people coming. As Woolleysox has said - the show is on the Fri/Sat/Sun - so I am not DIRECTLY challenging the event, I am actually up in the Mids from the Weds PM to Monday and will be happy to muck in - just trying to be pro-active and make things better.

at least your trying nothing much has happened about the car show since it was mentioned and given it is about apon us with no info i say it its empty words............. i had not noticed it was on the same time but with my currant situation i am having to start being careful with funds for a bit and so may have to cut back on some events but the ones i've say i'll go , i'll go unless i have to stop going for a some reason . so at this point we intend to goto your event which ain't to far from me

dont worry Jake, there is a whole weekend for people who want to do both so shouldnt be any problem at all, just keep up the good work, it will be a great meet especially with the parade lap thrown in.

We will most likley start a convoy for a few of us so if you are in the Midlands maybe you can join us on the way, i will get Wooleysox to post up the suggested times for all to see

I've got a HD video camcorder and a digital compact that can take HD video.

Hopefully I'll have an in car mount organised before the meet and don't mind acting as camera car if needed.

Just to give you an idea of quality

forgive the cameraman getting used to his equipment lol.

Cheers
Jim
