Brrrrrr - it's flippin' freezin' out there - a thin layer of hail/sleet/snow has frozen solid on the ground, and I had to use a blowlamp to open the wheelie bin lid !!!

Not a priority here, more likely trying to stop plants floating away.
Been told to make some Filipino bread rolls so need to get milk. Usually have semi skimmed but need normal milk for them. Love seeing the dough rising, like something out of Quatermass! Not nice here now, like a sleety drizzle Last edited by stevestrat; 7th January 2021 at 09:52.. |

The sun is shining here, the wind has dropped. Outside temperature is nudging on 10.5 degrees.
Been essential shopping, twice. For my first visit since I moved down here I went to Sainsbury’s in Torpoint but they never had all I wanted so home via Tesco’s in Callington. That gave the Bear a good run. And I took Banana for a run out as well once home. She is going in for her MOT on Monday. Just keeping busy. Keep safe.

Well that's a blow.. After waking to a hard frost I've been forced to buy my first can of deicer since 2015.
Out shopping at 06.30 first proper shop since Christmas always go early now to avoid the crowds, plenty of supplies on the shelves so we're all set for the next 2 or 3 weeks. Beautiful day since sunrise and with the sun shining in the windows no need for heating on at the moment. |
