The bad news she has dumped all her coolant in the workshop. The radiator has split yet again. This will be her 4th radiator in the 11 years of ownership. The garage have located one but it will not be delivered till tomorrow.

Still it’s not as if I’m going anywhere soon. And I have the Bear to fall back on.
4 Rads in 11 years seems very odd to me - never known anyone with a 1.8T have such issues

It’s a Banana thing, she just has to be different. But she is still on her original clutch & turbo with 210,520 miles on the clock.

Sorry to hear about your rad problem Bob. Any idea what is causing it? Have you put the same make rad back in every time? Do you think there is some kind of twisting of the rad when it is fitted? Or is your right foot causing the chassis to twist in some way.

No right footing in Banana these days, only the Bear gets that privilege.

I’m going along to the garage this morning to see if I can find anything out. The garage is on my walking route.

As for the make I have no idea. Mike Stafford fitted the last two.

Get a picture of the split Bob, it may give us an insight into the cause.
