Managed to find some tinned mushrooms, not the same but I cut up the bacon and fried them together.
Don't look pretty but tasted good

Off to the cat rescue later.
Breakfast should sustain me until we are back and ready for the Liverpool v Man U game

Back in from a morning walk with Quizzie.

Paths across the fields are starting to look like something from WW1 with all the mud. No frost here to harden them up.

Some bright sunshine but deceptively cold wind. Came across a couple of other walkers and Q met a lovely 4 year old Doberman and a properly happy 6 month old spaniel .

Too early for the fire so Q is curled up in her favourite chair, snoring gently .

Just back from Miss Pippin's morrning walk up the lane that parallels the WCML at two fields distance. Saw a weird coincidence with an up Avanti liveried train pelting past and departing from sight at the same time as a down train in the same livery aopeared at similar speed heading the other way. Both trains have driving carraiages at each end and at that distance it was like one had gone past, stopped immediately and reversed at full tilt straight away Fanciful, of course, cos trains have to slow down and accelerate, but the illusion was perfect.
After a coffee it's down to a grooming session with Miss P.

Aw what a sweetie I came in from the greenhouse earlier & one of our cats had found the bag of catnip in the cupboard, (yes they can open cupboards now )They'd chewed the bag open & it's all over the living room carpet.
Getting cold out there now so that's me done.
