Default New underpants required

6am , 70mph dual carriageway way and bang , bit of a cheek clenching moment,
Alas the deer didn't make it.

Will put some pics up later but at least a new bumper required

Stan

They tend to run in pairs luck you didn't hit 2 where I work we collect them from the roadside for incineration . They often get picked up in pairs

can imagine the whole thing being scary, from seeing the deer to coming to a stop.

If only a bumper is required that is some let off. Mind you at 6am it would have been pretty dark you probably did not get much if any warning.

So lucky, main thing is at least it's only a bumper (hopefully) could have been so much worse

I clumped one of those Muntjac Deer a couple of years ago - folded the bonnet, pushed the light up into the engine bay and wrecked the bumper. I was travelling about 40 mph. Depending upon how you hit the thing, you are lucky to get away with a bumper at 70 mph; perhaps you just caught it.

Wow bad luck at least you are safe, it's the damage that may have been cause when you remove the bumper, if full frontal hit check the fan, hopefully you can get away with just a bumper.

On my first trip to the US, we landed, then got picked up by my cousin. Twenty minutes up the road and a six pointer jumped the barrier and we hit it. It spun around and kicked every panel down the side of the people carrier. The highway patrol said that if it hadn't had its head down and had we been in a car, I would have been speared through the chest! He'd seen it twice before! When we got back to the house, my uncle asked why it wasn't strapped on the roof! Glad you are all OK and good luck with the parts search!

I wouldn’t like to hit a deer, make a mess of the car I would think.
Over our way its the kangaroos , emus , camels and water buffalo if your right up Northern Territory.
Hence I’ve just got a $3k bull bar fitted to my new Jeep Gand Cherokee.
I try not to take the Zt to places that might have lots of feral animals !!

Hit a muntjac back in 1987, totalled my Sweeney Granada...
Hit a big deer a few weeks ago at 95mph and it made one hell of a bang, tore off the front bumper, snapped a brake pipe and left me stranded down the Cotswolds for two hours. At first I though the worst as it was pitch black, couldn’t tell if it was animal or human until the BTP found it half a mile back.
I was driving one of these...
