Cruise control upgrade
Hi folks, new to the forum.....it looks great! This is my 3rd 75, first in a few years though. Just purchased an 01 CDT Club SE. I have bought from Ebay a preowned upgrade (switches, steering controls wtc....) Doesnt have heated seats, so not sure if has the necessary looms. Going to get started over the next few days. Any help before I start very much appreciated....is remap necessary etc? Thanks in advance 👍

Hello and welcome along, if you don’t have the loom in place for cruise this can be retrofitted, drop rick sta a pm as he can advise (and may be able to supply) the necessary wires.
The remap is a personal choice and depends on how your car feels to you, lots of members recommend the 160 map others prefer a custom map. I’m sure you will find all the info you need on here regarding essential jobs, upgrades etc.

welcome to the forum.
I have a CDT and found it to be a bit of a dog and so I would recommend a remap but don't forget to tell your insurance company of any modifications. If your cruise control wiring is in place in the passenger footwell and under the radio, you will still need a T4 session to make it work properly. It will work just wont I think re-engage. You will be able to get loads of advice from forum members on what do check and how to do things so ask away macafee2 |
