Default Grill bonnet release guide (Mk1)

If anyone is throwing away an old grill, I could do with the guide/locator from the back of the grill (the black part on the pic), for the bonnet release lever. I understand that they will come off with a twist of the plastic protrusions through the back (may need heating a bit), followed by a jiggle. I have a chrome grill for my car but it doesn't have the guide on the back as it came from a 2003 Mk1 which had the later safety catch release fitted ( I may end up going down that route!).
As the black plastic part:-

Mike

You don't really need it, well, I should say mine doesn't have guides and works ok.

That's interesting? I thought that it would have to rest in the slot to pivot?

I've just had a look and the black part just seems to be a guide between the fins of the grill, so the handle doesn't get jammed behind the fins. If I can't get one I'll just make something up from acrylic.

That's handy Andy! It may be a while before I am out and about though due to the current how do you do. Stay safe and thank you, Mike
