Roll on summer! How are you doing? My brother saw the consultant yesterday and he had the results of the scans. No spread to the organs in the body but there is a new spread to his pelvis. So now he is starting on new tablets and will start a new 10 session course of Chemotherapy to treat the latest spread.

Jessica remains in hospital and she is learning to walk again after her hip replacement. She is still under pain management and gets tired. I visit every day.

I am expecting Jessica to discharged Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday.

One of her friends sent her Jo Malone to cheer her up. What a lovely thought.

Morning Phil, That's a good picture of Jessica I hope she gets back to mobility soon without too much pain.

I still haven't been able to find out the PSA blood test results I had at the start of May. They seem to have got lost

My doctor hasn't got them so I sent him an email asking if he could arrange some more but he said....

"I read the letter but I'm a little unclear as to when your next PSA test should be done
Doing it prematurely or when the urology team don't want it will cause issue.

Would suggest that you speak to your Bolton urology team and check when they want the next PSA.
I am happy to do the form according to their wishes or they wish to send a form for you. I think the second option where ethe urologist does the form is better as they will be the ones acting on the result and it will show on their systems."

I just keep going round in this loop between departments so I've given up trying as nobody seems to know.
I dare say I'll find out on the 12th September when I have an appointment with the oncology consultant at Bolton hospital.

Never trained on HSTs but did drive one while on driver training. Instructor took you on everything except the old paraffin burning DMUs, class 101 etc.

Ging loved the curry, I haven't had any, don't really fancy it . . . . bl00dy appetite

Hi Guys,

Sorry I haven't been on much the last few weeks.
It's been rather busy this last few weeks although I'm not going to complain

Glad things went well with your pacemaker op Richard. As Phil said, take it steady mate.

So good to see that Jessica is doing well after her Op Phil. Much love sent to you both from Ros and I.

Good morning Colin

Good morning Jeff

People drift in and out of the club all the time for different reasons so don’t pressure yourself or apologise for not being here.

Thank you Jeff and Ros, and thank you Richard and Ian and Steve for your good wishes for Jessica, how really very kind and thoughtful.

When I visited the hospital yesterday Jessica was up out of bed, walking stairs with physio and using crutches and a Zimmer frame. She found the pain was easier walking. She is cutting back on her pain medication Oxycodone as it gave her nausea and vomiting during the night, a well known side effect. I will ask the doctor to prescribe an alternative.

The hospital sent a mobility contractor to our little flat in Bristol on Friday to raise the height of an armchair, the toilet seat and the bed.

I am expecting Jessica to be discharged tomorrow, Tuesday or Wednesday.

What are your plans for today?
