Default urgent FBH plumbing advice wanted

Hi All

urgent help required.

see photo....where do i attached the FBH plumbing.

i think the FBH inlet is bottom left, and the hot outlet is the pipe thats connected, but an empty end at the moment
so the current pipes in the car, do i need to cut?, or does the end of the current pipe from FBH run into the pipe compression connector?

and the other pipe i have marked which has cut line (hidden) do i cut this?. should this connect to bottom left FBH inlet.

does anyone know which way the water pumps round (in the existing pipes on the car)

any help appreciated.

steve

the pipe on the top left of the fbh with the black sort of bolt in the top goes to a joint between webasto and fuse box. The joint may be being hidden by the air intake hose.
If you follow the pipe from between webasto and fuse box I think it goes under your blue hose. There may be another joint here and this then fits onto the other "outlet" of the webasto.
You end up removing a length of pipe that runs roughly from under the blue hose to between webasto and fuse box

my pipe did not have joints but markings to show me where to cut. the fuel line I think is between the blue hose and back of engine bay but close to the blue hose, may even be under it with a blanking stopper in the end

HI Steve.
I have replied to your email sent through the forum, below are a few photo for you now as this is your own thread you will need a couple of hose clamps to aid you in the hose connections.

Take the engine cover off remove the egr hose with the turbo boost attached in your case the blue part of the hose and boost connected to the intercooler black hose this will give you a view of the coolant FBH hose and where it should be cut.

hi
thank you for your reply

what is confusing me...there is already the pipe connected to my scrappers FBH (witht eh funny shaped screw thing), so presumably i would not need to cut that?. but where does the open end go?

and then the bottom right water in on the FBH (i think it is water in), where is the pipe on my car that goes to this water input?

perhaps i will take out my blue pipe and take more photos..

the fuel line blanked off i have found, and also the electric connectors.

thank you

steve

Steve
You can do it tow ways as Ian as said above leave the hose connected to the FBH with the bleed screw, find the original one on the car there will be a joint, clamp the pipe off then fit the hose from the FBH to that joint once you have removed the egr and the small blue hose you will see how it all joins up.

I have sent you a couple of email's through the forum the second one I have incorporated my email address drop me a message if you want to arrange a quick meet.

Find this joint
1

Remove the spring clip up the hose.
2

Use a funnel to catch the coolant.
3

Fit the hose to the FBH personally I think it would be easier for you to remove the hose attached to the FBH then use the one that is in the line of the hose on the car.
4

Clamp it on after fitting.
5

Next find the mark the coolant hose which reads FBH
6

Cut the hose on the line
7

Trim it neat if need be.
8

Then fit it to the pump on the FBH
9

remove the hose clamps that hopefully you have used to stem the flow of the coolant.

10

The next step then would be the fuel line
11

Or you could fit the fuel line first, either way will do,
