Sticking Throttle
Hi
Recently I have been driving and when accelerating hard the throttle gets stuck in the full throttle position. As the car is automated I have to put the car in neutral, which causes the revs to go very high so I have to switch the car off. Eventally after playing around with the throttle the car returns to normal idle. I have tried to spray WD40 around the throttle housing but it just today got stuck again while driving whci can be dangerous. Can somebody advise how I can fix this problem permanatly Regards |

My money would be on the throttle cable, if it has lost all its lubrication the inner wire might be snagging on the sleeve.

Disconnect the throttle cable then operate the throttle body cam by hand
it will either stick or not. If not then it's the cable.
