Noticed that the engine cover on my KV6 wasn't properly secured, one of the two bolts wouldn't run all the way down. It turns out some ham-fisted gorilla has been in there in the past and damaged the threads in the aluminium manifold. Out with the tap and die set. Threads carefully re-cut and swarf vacuumed out. Bolt now seating correctly

Did a test drive after replacement of the VIS motors and noticed a burning smell at a stop light. Back at home the wheel was hot to the touch. Coincidentally a topic concerning this exact problem was opened on this forum suggesting a sticky caliper so I gave everything a good clean yesterday but then it started pooring rain and, in a hurry, I slapped one breakpad back in backwards only to find that out when the job was done with the car back on its wheels. That's a first for sure. Today it was dry so I quickly fixed that. No more hot wheel for now.

Sorted the blocked heater matrix on my wifes zt, then gave her a wash.

I then got the v8 out and gave her the once over before giving her a well deserved wash, I put some fresh fuel in and then we went out for a nice drive.

I've started the process of polishing my ZT-T to remove a multitude of fine scratches from branches etc. What a painstaking process!
Wash followed by a clay bar, then a machine polish with a fine compound scratch and swirl remover followed by wax application. I have found that using Turtle Wax colour matched (Blue) wax really does a nice job of bringing out the blue tone in the Anthricite paint.
So far I've worked my way back to the windscreen. I'm giving my back the weekend off and will finish the job off next week.

On Friday evening I finally got round to fitting the new EGR cooler bleed valve, and got the 75 running again after a fortnight off.
Yesterday I topped up the coolant, and did a 100 mile round trip to the inlaws with trailer to collect a rotavator. In the morning we got stuck in the Bank Holiday traffic on the A38 which properly got the engine up to temperature, and did a pressure test!
Then today a trip to the garden centre, allotment, supermarket then home.
Whilst eating my dinner I remembered I ought to check the odometer, and found out that I wasn't too far from this....🌛
