Default DAB+ in Navall Android Head Unit Products

HI ALL! , there has been a lot of excitement and activity around the DAB and DAB+ so I thought I would answer (and take) questions here in a separate thread.

After some hair pulling and a few well placed favors...... we are pleased to announce that we are the FIRST to have a fully integrated touch screen DAB+ option for our Android Car Specific head units. Last year we tested some external DAB receivers and they were really not suitable, and complicated including fitting required and worked from remote Controls. Both Jeff and Tony rejected 2 different models. Not to mention, that both were about double the price of this solution!

There are 2 ways that we can provide them in order to satisfy both the New orders and the aftermarket. Built IN to the head unit or Built OUT (An External DAB box). (Photos and videos next week of the Built Out)

We have developed a DAB app that works very well with our Navall ANDROID products. Currently we can have this installed in any new ANDROID head units that we are sending out. Because of "copying" concerns in China, this is all done in Clacton-on-Sea by Jeff (coolcat) or by my agent and friend of 8 years in HK for international orders.

Within the next week or so we will have the aftermarket DAB box that you will plug to your head unit , then download our APP, install the non-intrusive active aerial on the Windscreen and have DAB access. Currently this is for ANDROID units only and only versions 4.0 and above. The Navall 1 would require updating from 2.3 to 4.0 if you have not already done it.

With the APP , you can control the Application from the touch screen. No remote controls or installation is needed. You will see a List of DAB stations in your area and be able to select from those.

this is the TESTING VIDEO with the NAVALL 2 APP , We will put the video up in the coming days.

This is Our NAVALL 3 APP that will blend into your head units

DAB is available in Most of Europe, and all of Australia, not in New Zealand, America or Canada as of yet.

Finally the Price for the BUILT IN APP is £139 , CLUB Price is £99

For the Built OUT Price, regular Price is £159.00 Club Price is £119.00

For the moment, please contact me via email to order, or post questions here.

Cheers

Sean

what's the deal if you don't buy DAB internal now.

Can it be added at a later date and would that need the unit to be sent to Jeff to do ?
I can't justify the cost of the DAB at present, but might want to add it later, ideally without an external unit taking up more space which is tight.

It's great that this has finally come to be, have read a few have expressed interest over the last year or so...a certain Mr. Fry was one of them.

I did have a pure highway in the car at one time but got in the way, so took it out.

When are the built in microwaves coming??

Steve.

But Sir Jeff of COS Did this this AM

Notice the sound quality difference between the DAB and the FM at about 43 Seconds

don't forget my question guys. I'm sure a few would like to know if it can be fitted later as an upgrade and what impact that has (i.e return headunit etc)
