Re-trimming seats
Hello All
Has anyone had their seats retrimmed, and are you happy with result? My 260 has grey/black alancantara seats, and I am looking for blue ones. Was wondering if I'd be better off getting my existing ones retrimmed. I did read a post elsewhere (from a few years ago) about a company in the West Midlands, who used to retrim MGR car seats, but it seems they went out of business about 10 years ago. Cheers Andrew

I've looked at a few places and made enquiries, as Cilla used to say, you're looking at a lorra lorra money

I seem to remember a post saying that New trim in Oxford had something to do with the original interiors if that's of any use.

You are talking of a few bob!
I toyed with the idea of leather with the quilted section down the middle of the seats, maybe in Oxblood, but just think of what you could do to the car if you had that sort of cash spare for other things. You would really want a perfect car to start with before laying that kind of money out on seating. |

Once again I have to say don't retrim your seats. Fit new original covers.
http://www.thehogring.com/2012/03/03...ew-this-cover/ If you get caught after an accident, it could be big trouble.

Do you have contact details for him?
Assuming you have used him yourself? Andrew

seats - re-trim or not?
Quote:
Vanbursta - I doubt that original seat covers are still available for most MGR seats now (otherwise yes I'd be interested). Surely when trimmers are working on modern car seats, they have to take into account the functioning of airbags? Andrew
