Village Life

I took this shot of the colourful street life through the windscreen, whilst my wife was driving along a backroad not far from the Kenyan coast. It was taken at 09:33 on a Saturday and the road was fairly quiet. Nice weather 29C

Looks a lot busier and more vibrant than most UK High Streets these days

At 7pm on the equator, the daylight suddenly drops into darkness. The photo was taken within the hour of the sun disappearing behind the hills. I took some photos of the Acacia Tree, also known as the Thorn Tree. Thank you for liking the shot. Cheers

The Baobab Tree

on Flickr

Shot thru glass from the car, on the way back from the coast. Baobabs are wonderful trees to look at. I was chatting to someone this morning on my camera club, who told me that there is a large Baobab in Ombalantu which holds 35 people and it is used as a church. They can live for 100 plus years and survive heat and drought.

Thanks Jeff, that’s probably one photo I would not like to take at night. The road was in the wildlife corridor where the wild animals freely roam in that area. Great idea of making the Baobab a night shot, thanks for that
